A: The easy answer is yes, absolutely. Full swing instruction is possible because we use both swing simulators as well as our golf course to insure you can work on any phase of your game. We firmly believe that, in many cases, too much emphasis is placed on long hours at the driving range. Instead, we want you to learn to swing and play effectively, and that usually is best done on the golf course. For those who are interested in working on the range, we have a beautiful range just minutes away, and two more within 20 minutes.
Q: I’ve taken lessons but never know what to do about tipping. What is your policy?
A: Our instructors accept tips as a way to compliment exceptional service, much as you would when out to dinner. It’s a personal choice, but always appreciated.
Q: What happens if the golf lesson I take doesn’t help me play better?
A: Golf lessons are based on two main ingredients; first, the golf professional’s ability to pair your stated goals with appropriate lessons, and second, your commitment to practicing the skills you’ve learned. If you do your part and aren’t satisfied, we will do what it takes for you to be thoroughly satisfied. At Copley Golf School the professionals work as a team, and if your situation demands, we’ll work as a team to insure your happiness.
Q: What is your policy regarding my lesson fees and inclement weather?
A: One of the beauties of our set up is that we can use our indoor swing simulators and putting greens to continue instruction no matter what the weather. But if work on the course is necessary, we will gladly give you a rain check for a later date.
Q: I see the “course fee” in many of the product offerings. What is that?
A: Most golf schools rely on your banging lots of range balls and the lesson fees, while not itemized, reflect a charge for range use. We use the golf course to teach you, so we pay Copley Country Club a fee for the privilege.
Q: What options do we have for the lunches included in lessons?
A: Our food and beverage staff bends over backwards to provide healthy and interesting lunches for our students. If you have specific dietary needs, let us know and we’ll do anything we can to accommodate you.
Q: I haven’t taken many lessons because I’m afraid that after the pro is gone, I can’t remember what to do.
A: We’ve heard this many times. For students in our area, we are committed to checking in on your practice and progress. Often times we are available to monitor your practice to make sure things are just right. Students living outside our area can review the videos we shared and are welcome to call anytime with questions or guidance. Also, students can send us videos of their practice sessions and we can weigh in with suggestions via phone or email.
Q: I’m not sure my clubs are right for me. What club fitting and repair services do you offer?
A: We offer the Taylor Made fitting system and can provide general information all the way through a formal club fitting. Our fee is $ 45.00 for the fitting, and is deducted from the club set price if you order. We also offer gripping services and can complete that work while you are here.
